Fancy a walk?
Almondbury Methodist Church has a walking group, open to all the
community, and has been running for the past 20 years.
We walk every week throughout the summer, meeting outside the Wesley
Centre at 7pm every Wednesday evening. The first walk being the
last Wednesday in April. The walks are up to 2 hours, at a moderate
pace and are on footpaths so footwear should be suitable for all
weathers.
Additionally, walks are also arranged at other times of the year visiting the Yorkshire Dales, the Peak District and the Lake District. We also have a very popular walk the day after Boxing Day.
As you can see from some of the pictures below, we do get to see to some outstanding views of natural beauty. Come along, and see some of the beautiful scenery around Kirklees
and beyond.
