From Pigeons to Pantos
You're probably wondering what this is doing on our website. We get up to all sorts of stuff, fun for the congregation and wider community, and at the same time raising money for the church or other charities.


One of our members, Alex C, has raised and raced pigeons for over 30 years. 30 birds have been offered for sponsorship by members of the church. [More...].


Between August and November 2008, our very own Paul F (a former Come Dancing Medal Winner) taught 9 couples to ballroom dance. Have a look at the Dancing Diary to see how they got on. At the end of the classes, our couples and others strutted their stuff in a gala dance night.


Members from Almondbury Methodist Church and community friends have raised funds for the church, and other charities, by a series of sponsored bike rides all over the UK. [More...].


Recently Almondbury Methodist Church has been host to the Huddersfield Junior Choral Society , and the 'award winning' Stannington Brass Band. Watch this space for future concerts and performances. Always a good night out! Check [Coming Soon]


There's more to our coffee mornings, than drinking coffee... chocolate tombola, bookstall, cake stall, and more. Usually held three or four times during the year. Something special for the diary. Check [Coming Soon].


Local celebrity chefs, mystery ingredients, quiz, and a charity. Mix it all together and you have a great afternoon, tasting some fabulous food, and raising money for charity. Sounds great! [More...].


Anyone for a curry? Previous curry nights have been a great way to raise funds for Almondbury Methodist Church, and enjoy a curry at the same time. Usually held once a year at an indian restaurant in Huddersfield. Keep your eyes open for the next one! Check [Coming Soon].
